Stuart Ferguson

Research Interests:

Quantum algorithms for discrete spacetimes, Quantum Algorithms for NISQ devices, Error Mitigation in Quantum Algorithms,

I am a PhD student in the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh in the Laboratory for Foundations of Computer Science (LFCS), advised by Petros Wallden. I previously obtained a Masters degree in Physics also from the University of Edinburgh.

My work aims to apply Quantum Computers to fundamental physics problems, particularly relating to Causal Set Theory. Previously I have worked in Error Mitigation of Variational Quantum Algorithms for various computational problems.
