Abbas Poshtvan

Coming from a physics background, I firstly got involved in quantum information science by working on quantum Information theory (specifically Capacity of quantum channels) during my M.Sc. in Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. As I decided to pursue my career in Quantum computer science, I joined QSL as a PhD student in 2023 under the supervision of Dr. Myrto Arapinis and Prof. Elham Kahefi. Currently I am working on two subjects: Blind Quantum Computation, where my focus is on reducing the quantum communication complexity in secure delgation of computations to make it more feasible for different use cases where hiding the whole computation is not needed, and the intersection of Quantum Pseudorandomness and Quantum Physical Unclonable Functions, where I study these primitives in the non-unitary regime to see if there properties and connections still holds in the presence of noise.
