Applications are now open for September 2025 entry to the EPSRC Quantum Informatics programme
Join a pioneering 4-year PhD programme in Quantum Informatics!
The Quantum Informatics CDT, Led by the University of Edinburgh, in collaboration with the University of Oxford, Heriot-Watt University, UCL, and the University of Strathclyde, will train a new generation of students in the interaction of quantum hardware, software, and applications, advancing integrable, interoperable, and impactful quantum technologies.
During the first year, at Quantum Software Lab, students undergo comprehensive training in quantum software and information. They also gain valuable hands-on experience through collaborations with the National Quantum Computing Centre. At the end of year 1, students are matched with a project and supervisory team, and relocate to their primary supervisor’s institution.
