Research Interests:

Distributed quantum computing

Maria is a PhD student at the Quantum Software Lab in the University of Edinburgh. With an academic background in physics, she is currently supervised by Chris Heunen and Mahesh Marina to work on distributed quantum computing. Previous to QSL Maria used to work in the quantum industry, researching quantum networks at Cisco, building error correction libraries in open source and startup projects, and within IBM’s Quantum team.
