Kano is a PhD student in the Quantum Software Lab under the supervision of Alexandru Cojocaru. His research focuses on quantum cryptography.
He earned his master's degree in Cyber Security from Ruhr University Bochum, where he wrote his thesis, "Compiled Nonlocal Games from any Trapdoor Claw-Free Function", under the supervision of Michael Walter and Giulio Malavolta. Before that, he earned his bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Bonn, where he wrote his thesis, "Classification of Irreducible Representations of GL_2(IF_q)", under the supervision of Johannes Anschütz and Peter Scholze.
