The Quantum Software Lab's Quantum Fringe returned last week, and the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh hosted the first edition of the TartanQEC Workshop as part of it, welcoming 123 guests. The workshop was co-organised with the University of Strathclyde.

The workshop focused on practical methods for quantum error correction (QEC), with talks spanning QEC-hardware co-design, implementations, theory, decoder design, and software development. The programme reflected the rapid convergence of theory and experiment across the QEC community in the UK and internationally.
